Weather
Between the swaying boughs of the window gondola on the building opposite me, and the top floor balcony of the building next to it, I can see the four chimneys of Battersea Power station. I was amazed when I got in this morning to see a huge green monolith appearing behind it, (a bit of squinting recognised it as a gas tower).
The weather has just closed in, I could tell it was raining before it got here because the creamy towers had started to disappear behind a sea of haze, which can only mean one thing… bad weather.
The other morning I watched the towers as they re-appeared from behind the white fluffy clouds and they appeared closer to this building than they had before.
As I sit here typing this, they have all but vanished amongst dark grey cloud.
I like the rain, there’s something quite therapeutic about it drumming down and splattering against windows being driven in by the wind. I hope it’s like this tonight, I may well sit at home with no sound but the storm. Ahh…
UPDATE
Well it would appear that I managed to get my own way regarding the weather. Got home from work, was in the door about 10 minutes the skies went dark and I spoted a flash of light… thunder and lightning (not very frightening - yes contrary to popular belief I am not a big jessie and I didn’t go and find something to hide under). Anyway it poured really hard. It has now however stopped I think, I’ve got the blinds open and scandalously (is that a word? probably not) loud music.

Ah yes I read that, after I’d posted I realised you’d posted about the rain. I think I was more entranced by the view of Battersea Power station when its shrouded in fog. I was also trying to use velvety words to describe things. It’s stopped raining out there at the moment but the tempreture is dropping and I’m about to heat up a hot water bottle to snuggle. brrr… watching the Abyss doesn’t help keep me warm thats for sure.
